On Saturday, June 17^th, the Carroll County Farmer’s Market will hold a drawing for a Father's Day Gift Basket filled with bar-b-que sauces, grilling utensils, and accessories, plus 2 baseball tickets.  With pride the Carroll County Farmer’s Market celebrates 52 years of providing high quality local produce, crafts, baked goods, and other items to local customers. 

The Carroll County Farmer’s market is the oldest farmer’s market in Carroll County and the second oldest in the state of Maryland. The Market began in July of 1971 with the help of county Extension agent, Robert L. Jones, as an outlet for local farmers to sell their products and to give local consumer is a chance to buy farm fresh produce, eggs, baked goods, jams and jellies, agricultural products, and handmade crafts.

The drawing will be held at 12:30pm. The winner need not be present to win. Basket can be picked up any of the following Saturdays between 8am - 1pm. The value is guaranteed to be worth a minimum of $200.

60 of our regular vendors will also be on hand. All local produce is available, including lettuce, mixed greens, spring onions, raspberries, broccoli, cauliflower, and possibly local tomatoes. Bedding plants, vegetable and herb plants will be available to spruce up your gardens. Our food stands provide home baked goods, including cakes, pies, scones, cookies, breads, rolls, and biscotti. You will also find jams and jellies, honey, nuts, dips, and candies. The market also has farm fresh eggs, fresh frozen meats with no steroids or synthetic hormones used.

Each week will offer an assortment of handmade juried crafts. Items available include seasonal decorations, fabric crafts, jewelry, photography, painted wood crafts and more.

The cafeteria is open during market hours for breakfast and lunch. Pancakes and egg sandwiches are great for breakfast and don’t miss out on a slice of homemade pie or cake.

The Carroll County Farmer’s Market is located at the Carroll County Ag. Center every Saturday June 17 to Sept. 3 from 8am – 1pm.

Admission and Parking are always free. We are handicapped accessible, and buses are welcome.
