Our first event of the Christmas Season was a big success. Lots of people came out to get their Cholesterol and Blood Pressure checked. Myself included. It was a great value and a great relief to find out I was on the right health track. We host this event twice a year.
I saw many people working on their Christmas shopping. There were soaps, candles, winter scarfs , a new lady with gorgeous wool ponchos , dog beds and some really cute holiday decorations.
The baked goods stands had some great looking stuff. My customers were already starting their cookie shopping to put away in the freezer for Christmas.
Allen Stoner and his family even had some fall produce available in Burns Hall. They made a special effort to grow things especially for this markt. Eileen said they would be here for the next two Saturdays yet.
I did find out this week that Ginger Myers would not be able to be here with her delicious pasture raised meats. She is almost sold out. All her meat is hormone free and really good. The Emu People though , Jim and Peggy Royer, always have fresh frozen emu meat. The ground emu is low fat and really does taste like beef, but better for you. If you have never tasted it, try Heather's Emu Chili over in the cafeteria.
Hope to see you all at the market soon. Dana
