Author's Day Was A Good Fit

16 Nov 2009

Our first Author's Day was a good fit for our market. At the end of the day several authors told me they were really surprised with the good response from our customers.  It was good to see so much local talent.  Some of our craft vendors don't come these first two weeks.  There are so many competing shows.

I got the last bag of fresh lettuce greens from our late produce stand. It made great salad tonite.  I also sliced up my loaf of Mel's whole wheat bread.   I slice it and freeze it so I don't have to eat it all at once. Toasted with local honey on, it is delicious.

This coming week will be a busy one.  More crafters will be in attendance and all the baked goods and food stands will do a lively trade.  Everyone stocks up on goodies for Thanksgiving.  Most items such as cakes, pies and breads can be thrown in the freezer to keep them fresher.

Happy Turkey Day, Dana
