I am ready for my winter vacation but still have to take time to dream over seed catalogs before I go. Hope forever springs eternal for those of us who enjoy gardening and growing our own food and flowers. I can't help but hope that this year I get better sunshine for my tomatoes. They sure would have better taste!

Each season of gardening brings something different. Last year I planted and tasted swiss chard for the first time. Boy was I missing out. It was great in stir fry and kind of tasted like spinach. I certainly won't plant 6 of them again though. LOL. Even my rabbit could not help eat it all. And the green beans kept coming. They at least liked the extra rain in 2009 even if my tomatoes did not.

So let's pray for rain once a week and sunshine every weekend this summer. Wouldn't that be a good thing to dream?

And all of you get out there and garden. It's good for the body and the soul.
